All one take. With animals.
I don’t know what made these men so insane, but I hope they’re never cured. Nice work guys.
The Opportunity Crunch
No, brutal, soul-sucking, marriage-destroying crunch mode in game development isn't a privilege or an opportunity. It's idiocy.
Autoblography
The story of me. If you're looking for a picture of what it was like growing up in the seventies, then this is for you.
The Terrible New Thing
Fidget spinners are ruining education! We need to... oh, never mind the fad is over. This is not the first time we've had a dumb moral panic.
What is Vulkan?
What is this Vulkan stuff? A graphics engine? A game engine? A new flavor of breakfast cereal? And how is it supposed to make PC games better?
The Gameplay is the Story
Some advice to game developers on how to stop ruining good stories with bad cutscenes.
You probably have, but check this one out too:

*whispers* Also, last paragraph, “I think know” *whispers*
I am amazed.
^ That
Wow. Just wow.
Also, another unrelated awesome video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0pbRKfqX8Q&feature=player_embedded
This video and the one shamus posted BLEW MY MIND.
“This video is not available in you country.” :(
Where are you, Narnia?
Not availabe here either. I’m in Germany. No surprise there, it seems like 90% of music videos are not availabe here anymore.
Same here. Indeed. :(
EDIT:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEX4yFLl4fs
This seems to be the same video, but available in Germany, shouldn’t you have found it already…
You know, looking at this video for some reason (possibly the music, or just the incredible quirkyness) I got reminded of a music video using an incredible long-winded Rube Goldberg machine.
And I take a glance into the related videos bar and lo and behold it’s the same band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w
Good game to the whole lot of them.
Didn’t Shamus already post this vid on this website? xD
Back in March apparently, yes.
In other words, about three generations worth of new internet users, and, let’s be generous, about thirty generations’ worth of internet users’ attention spans and memory for where we first saw funny videos.
http://www.okgo.net/dogs/
The video is a promotion to raise money for Animal Rescue – you can buy it for between $2 and $1000 at the link above.
awesome, now we just have to wait before we see a shorter version on animal planet..
They have a penchant for doing insane things.
I hope they are never cured of their insanity either.
Especially as it took over 128 takes, I say over as apparently they only started counting on the second week!
That explains the spaced out looks on their faces at the start! They must have got really sick of the first minute or so of the song.
They’re also staring at a rough recording of everything so they get the timing right. That’s why they’re looking at just above the camera most of the time.
“This video is not available in your country.”
Just great.
Impressive. And the goat was surprising.
So that WAS a goat!
I thought so too but I wasn’t sure!
I just realized that I don’t think I’ve ever actually *heard* a song by OK Go: I’m always too busy watching whatever they’ve got going on in the video. They strike me as being closer to performance artists than a band, anyway: I’m sure it would be great to see them on tour, but I don’t know why I’d ever download the music-only version — I’d be missing the best part!
Was nice, certainly impressive, but dogs are dogs.
I want to see them try something with cats, now that is a challenge.
Haha, I had the same thought. :)
Having said that, this was a neat video.
Heh, it IS the same people that did that viral video with the treadmills. It’s probably good promotion and not the most expensive music video you can do, though it does take a good bit out of themselves.
I’m impressed. The dogs are very well trained! Great to see OK Go still doing all this craziness!
Puppies!
I mean…uh….yeah that was awesome.
A catchy video that’s also an ad for animal shelters … and seemingly Ikea? Loved it.
Not long ago, I went to a concert they played down the street from where I live (literally; if you had a good arm you could stand in the street in front of where I live and hit the venue with a rock). They passed out free 3D glasses and, at one point, projected this video on the wall behind the stage in 3D. They also played one song entirely with handbells, that was pretty neat too.
These vids they do have to cost a fraction of a fraction the cost of any other pop band’s and they are infinitely fascinating and entertaining to watch.
Is it just me or does that look like it was chroma keyed?
random goat
Nice. Impressive.
Now do it with cats.
If they keep one-upping themselves, they’re going to run out of integers here.
Huh… here I post as “Xpovos” at home I post as “Andrew”. Awesome. Gotta love that consistency.
