Chainmail Bikini: Characters

This was supposed to be up days ago, but has been delayed for various technical reasons. Here are a couple of the characters from the upcoming comic I’m doing with Shawn Gaston.

Meet Josh.

And Marcus.

Also, for everyone that complained about the lack of an edit button, the lack of formatting tags, and the inability to post images in the comments here, the new comic has one of those newfangled forum thingies. Alas, someone has already done the “first” thing.

Sir, I wait with baited breath. I can’t say I wait patiently because that would be a total lie. GIMMEH! :D

The writeup of Josh is almost exactly like someone in my old game (and really, what GM can’t say that?) except for the ritalin … he really could have used the ritalin. Autistic killing machine lol :)

    First here! :)
    Nice characters!

  3. Adam says:

    OH GODS NOOOOO!!!!!!

Fear the Boot hits my works site filter!

No more goofing off with Shamus at work, well at least out side Twenty Sided.

  4. João says:

#4 Adam, try using google translation to translate from english to english, that might get you apst the filter ;-)

  5. Telas says:

I swear I’ve gamed with these guys… *cringe*

Aaron: It’s ‘bated’ breath, unless you’re snacking on anchovies.

  6. Katy says:

    OH man, so totally psyched!!!

  7. Daktylo says:

Adam, can’t you use a work around like Proxy.org?

  8. Nilus says:

Gonna miss DMoftheRings. I hope the new web comic is good but there are so many other RPG related web comics out there, I just hope it rises above all the mediocre ones.

  9. Browncoat says:

“Bated”? Really? I always thought it was “baited”. Per-maybe-haps my sister was teaching me the wrong thing on purpose and is sitting at home laughing over my perdickyment.

  10. Browncoat says:

Hmm…for more on Bated v. Baited, see

    http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-bai1.htm

  11. I hope there’s gonna be a RSS feed on the new comic – I tried subbing to the feartheboot/comic url but there was no dedicated comic feed there yet.

  12. Steel Lynx says:

Hmmm… couldn’t see any references to http://www.theringlord.org/ so, well, now there is at least one. They’ve got some quite nice Mail Bikinis in their picture gallery ;-)

  13. Adam says:

Well, as much as I would like to “work around” those kind of things start to throw up little tiny flags and then those funny guys in suits tell me that, “Your not suppose to use corporate tools for personal fun.. yada yada…”

Big company fun to work for with perks and stuff but stinks when they figure out how to block my goofing off.

  14. corwin says:

So Josh is FtB’s Phil? :)

  15. Aaron says:

I beg your indulgence on the Baited vs Bated thing, I wrote that REALLY early this morning. No excuse for laziness though … as a librarian I should know this!

    I stand corrected. /salutes anchovies!

  16. Doug Sundseth says:

Since the chief advantage of dead horses is the beating and the attraction of fish in barrels is the shooting:

“baited” in the Eggcorn Database: http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/53/baited/

  17. Davesnot says:

    The new comic has Ponies?!

  18. Ravs says:

I hope that Fear the Boot’s server is braced for the onslaught of hits when the first comic goes live.
