If you’ve ever shopped at Amazon.com then you know that it tries to “suggestive sell” stuff while you’re shopping. While looking around for a new graphics card, I came upon this:
The 6800 chipset and the history of Poland: Two great tastes that taste great together!
I have no idea how the history of Poland would enhance my enjoyment of of a GeForce graphics card. Maybe I’ve been using them wrong.
Good Robot Dev Blog
An ongoing series where I work on making a 2D action game from scratch.
Good to be the King?
Which would you rather be: A king in the middle ages, or a lower-income laborer in the 21st century?
How I Plan To Rule This Dumb Industry
Here is how I'd conquer the game-publishing business. (Hint: NOT by copying EA, 2K, Activision, Take-Two, or Ubisoft.)
Batman: Arkham City
A look back at one of my favorite games. The gameplay was stellar, but the underlying story was clumsy and oddly constructed.
The Truth About Piracy
What are publishers doing to fight piracy and why is it all wrong?
Well, that would be obvious! Knowing the history of Poland would allow you to truly experience the full richness of a GeForce’s ability to render graphics by… uhm… er…
Hm.
Look over there! Something shiny!
*runs away*
PS – I have an eVGA 7600 GT in my ‘puter. Very easy to install, very easy to set up, and quite quiet. The ‘puter sits at my elbow and I don’t hear the cooler fan on the card at all. And the graphics are quite nice; given it’s been less than a week, I can’t really say for sure how good eVGA is from personal experience, but I read a lot of good things about their cards.
A polish guy walks into a tech store and… aww screw it
O_O
Maybe graphics cards were invented in Poland? Or, and I can’t help but wonder whether it’s actually possible, maybe they took a survey, and found that gamers know worryingly little about Poland, so are targetting them for educational material on it?
Well, it definitely caught your attention. Hm. Those darn suggestive sales.
digging up old post for my entertainment… i have problems… anyways i like thats it’s “a CONCISE history”. that part made me laugh for some reason.
My question is, ‘why Poland’? And why this book? You’d think the website would put more advertisement into things they were paid to advertise, but… who in their right mind pushes that book? Who the hell is going to buy it? I’m just rambling at this point, but like most people on the internet, I assume that what I have to say matters. Yay internet!
