I had a lot of fun writing this one.
(By the way, don’t forget that Chainmail Bikini – my comic from 2007 – is also running. New strips MWF. This means five total strips by me a week. Sigh. Even recycling two year old content, I STILL can’t keep up with David Morgan-Mar.)

The Plot-Driven Door
You know how videogames sometimes do that thing where it's preposterously hard to go through a simple door? This one is really bad.
Dear Dr. Breen,
Even as I now enjoy the fruits of successfully destroying the Combine suppression field and am vigorously attempting to do my part to repopulate our species, I’d like to take this moment to let you know…I feel ya man!
Working under your thumb as a part of the Combine Overwatch allowed me to appreciate the tenacity, responsibility and resource management required to successfully oppress a universally insane species such as our selves. And even though my journeys have mostly kept me as far from City 17 as humanly possible, still I felt your presense. During my stay at the lovely Ravenholm resort, I could somehow feel your presense as it was bombed the hell out of with headcrab shells and I will admit, the place it MUCH more atmospheric as a result. A bit too emo for my taste, but still a vast improvement.
The point is Mr. Breen, I DO understand and I DO sympathize and even though I may have been kinda directly responsible for your death by falling on you, I want you to know that even now as I write to you from the ethereal plane attempting to re-enact that scene from Ghost with women who didn’t notice me when I was alive, I TOO will await your triumphant return with bated breath.
Signed

No one can keep up with David Morgan-Mar. Not even Howard Taylor (though if it weren’t for DMM’s fifteen hundred side projects, it’d be a much closer race).
Great comic as always… had to do a double-take, though, because for some reason I was expecting to meet Star on Chest’s level 25 arch-rival… oh well, it pays to read close, kids!
Shamus – okay, now you have to stop with the Breen/HL strips. I am so heartbroken by the DukeNukemForeverization of Episode 3 that glimpses of Half-Life characters reduces me to a sobbing ball of melted macho studliness (it’s true).
I’m surprised there was a L4D2 boycott group before there was a HL2Ep3 boycott group.
I need ice cream.
Shamus – by “new” strips, you mean “new-old” strips, right? You guys aren’t making any new (as is never before seen) strips, are you?
LintMan – one new CB comic at the end, at least. Possibly as many as 3 or 4 new comics at the end, but probably not.
Ah, thanks Shawn. I had a slight hope they were picking it up again ongoing, but that seemed unlikely.
I highly recommend Concerned: The Life and Death of Gordon Frohman, an excellent comic that shows Frohman’s exploits in City 17 and beyond, while being repeatedly mistaken for Freeman. It follows the HL2 storyline very closely, so you need to have played the game to fully appreciate it.

I think Shamus has read that one already. (Might have mentioned it even. Not sure.)
I can’t believe no one’s thought of the obvious solution here: Dr Breen comes back in Episode 3 AS an advisor pod space slug! It’s perfect! Gordon will never see it coming!
Eh? Eh?
