The penultimate entry in this series is now available for public consumption. I’m afraid this one is extremely absurd. Brace yourself.

This series ends on Friday.

  1. Studoku says:

I think everyone here will agree that the gun gun is the greatest weapon ever.

    1. acronix says:

I don´t. It´s too slow. 100 weapons per minute? Pfft!
However, I admit that burying someone under a mountain of weapons would be hilarious.

      1. Davin Valkri says:

Man has a point. Isn’t the Heavy’s normal weapon supposed to do a hundred times that?

    2. Jarenth says:

This should be included in the Turing test.

Because anyone who doesn’t think the Gun Gun is the greatest weapon ever is clearly a cold, soulless robot.

      1. Studoku says:

Even cold, soulless robots think the gun gun is cool.

      2. Mitch H. says:

I’ve always suspected that I’d fail a Turing Test someday…

  2. TehShrike says:

I’m pretty sure this sort of weapon can be constructed in Garry’s Mod. I demand that this strip be made into a video!

    1. TehShrike says:

And of course, by “demand” I mean “it would be really cool if someone did this” :-P

      1. Vipermagi says:

I imagine it being possible in FO3.
Alter the Rock-It Launcher to have a higher attack rate, and make Junk items (=RIL ammo) with gun skins. It would still look like a glorified shredder, but it will fire guns :D

Perhaps it’s possible to edit the RIL itself to accept any item, as well. Ever wanted to shoot stimpacks? A re-usable mini nuke (won’t explode)? Power Armor?
*goes off to toy around with the GECK*

EDIT: Someone on the Nexus released a mod that allows the Rock-It Launcher to shoot pretty much anything. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5073

  3. somebodys_kid says:

Out of idle curiosity, can the Gun Gun fire an instance of itself?

    1. Jarenth says:

I’d think that for that, you’d need a Gun Gun Gun.

      1. Michiel says:

        Because it can can can!

  4. How cool would it be if all the guns it spewed out were themselves also firing? I would so buy the gun gun.

    1. acronix says:

I hope you realize that it could be, technically, possible to hit yourself with your own ammo.
Now that´s a completely different tier of awesome.

    2. Viktor says:

This needs to happen. Probably can’t be done simply in FO3, due to the skill-based nature of attacks, but a gun, that fires guns, that are themselves shooting, would be concentrated awesome.

  5. Dev Null says:

Oh no! _This_ edition of a webcomic about a late-night talk show hosted by a fictional character from a video game is extremely absurd! Whatever will we do?!?

    (*snicker* Nother good one Shamus!)

  6. Pink Discord says:

Extremely absurd, but also hilarious. I’m really enjoying this series, and I am excited to see how it ends.

    1. Tizzy says:

Second. This is an exceptionally good vintage of Stolen Pixels.

  7. Yar Kramer says:

The last two panels made me giggle insanely. Congratulations! ;)

  8. Greg from St Paul says:

This is the second time I laughed about a weapon. The other was when I saw the BFG9000 for the first time.

  9. Pickly says:

I’d love to see that as an unlock. :)

(Gun Gun: Slows the heavy, heavy can’t move while firing, throws a lot of discarded weapons on the ground that others can pick up for ammo.)

    1. Someone says:

They should totally release it during the engineer update. Imagine a heavy standing near a dispenser and showering his 9 engineer teammates with metal.

  10. Deoxy says:

Joining the pile: the Gun gun is teh awesome. I continue to stand in amazement at your humor abilities.

  11. Enrique says:

Am I the only one reminded of the Poodle Gun from the Tick vs Tick episode? Bueller?
