Twenty-Sided Stuff

I mentioned this weekend I designed some T-shirts. It was done via cafepress, where I’ve created a few items with the Twenty Sided logo on them. I haven’t ordered gotten one myself yet, so I can’t vouch for the quality. I took the high-resolution (1280 x 256) version of the logo and put it on a shirt. Is that high enough to look good on an adult-sized shirt? I don’t know. If it isn’t, I’ll need to re-make it, since that’s the size of the original.

Once I get my hands on one and see how it looks up close I’ll have a better feel for how something like this works. I’ll probably come up with some other designs with DMotR quotes. If anyone has any specific requests for what they’d like to see, please leave a comment. My plan is just for pictures of dice and quotes, no actual comics.

The stuff is here.

” If I’m smiling, it must be Monday, Wednesday or Friday”

  3. Huckleberry says:

“Let’s rescue our dear friends, whose names currently escape me.”

“No, just a walking stick. And a quiver of little walking sticks.”

    And, obviuosly, the classic:
“Help! My dice are trying to kill me.”

  4. Hal says:

What?! I demand my “Twenty Sided” thong!

    (Not really)

  5. Carl the Bold says:

“Welcome Noble Champions. Feel free to sleep on our dirt.”

  6. “Sometimes the worst thing you can give your players is what they want.”

  7. Telas says:

“Me and my minus five hit points are just going to take a little nap”

  8. Mom says:

How about a “twenty sided” dice bag?

Or a picture of the DM himself? ( on a mug)

    Or the DM’S mom

or pencil skethches of favorite scenes with quote bubbles?

    or posters

  9. Browncoat says:

    Mom said: suggestion
“If I'm smiling, it must be Monday, Wednesday or Friday”

    Addendum:

“Or possibly Tuesday/Thursday of the week of February 12, 2007.”

Decomposing of my own free will

Looks like we joined Team Stupid

Are my keen ranger senses telling me we have to walk?

  11. Ben W. says:

I’ve always been partial to “That is a very specific level of tired.”

  12. Jeremiah says:

Any quotes where Aragorn is coming on to Legolas.

  13. Kris says:

I’ve got a cafepress shop with several items, and the shirts were very nice.

Looks very nice. The image was 810 x 1384, and turned out really sharp.

  14. Malkara says:

Ew. Cafepress. I’ve heard so many horror stories about them…

  15. Ryan says:

The comments here are definitely going to turn into a List-Your-Favorite-One-Liners from the comics.
    Case in point:
“We need to think about changing sides.”

  16. phlux says:

I’ve not heard great things about Cafepress, but if you have the opportunity, you’d do better to convert your graphics into vector format. They will look MUCH better in print than rasterized graphics will. If that isn’t an option your best bet is for it to be as BIG as it can be, particularly in DPI. 300+ would be best.

  17. phlux says:

Oh, and if we’re listing favorite one-lines, mine is still:

    “Tell me your name horsef—er!”

  18. Andre says:

there’s just too many to list. I can’t wait! Good job Shamus!

  19. Da Penguin says:

I do like the ones listed here.. and would have to vote for :-

Looks like we joined Team stupid.. but also amongst my favourites were (had to look back for exact wording)…

Being Invisible isn’t as useful as you think when fighting a blind creature underwater with your bare hands

    Da Penguin.

  20. Dan Morrison says:

Darn. I recall reading about upcoming t-shirts in the original post, and today cruised back to unload some of my paypal credit. You deserve sponsorship for the laughs I get out of this series.

I’m sad there’s no comic prints though. I understand the resolution thing would be hard to overcome however. (not to mention the copyright).

    :(

I was surprised to see the link still worked. Do you still get anything from this?
